The Verinode Score.

The number is out of ten, and it is a weighted total across the capabilities operators said matter for that category. Within a category, products are listed by that total, and the order is an opinion on capability, not a recommendation to buy.

Every reading here clears an evidence bar. A vendor whose capability set is too thinly evidenced to read honestly is left out rather than printed with a caveat, so absence is the disclosure. That is also why this page does not list every tool in a category.

Provisional means not yet peer-rated. A reading stays provisional until its category is both operator-weighted and rated by the operators who run the tool. Quote the flag along with the number and the date; a score quoted without them is quoted wrong.

It reads documentation, not production. A reading assesses capability as evidenced in the public record and vendor documentation, not capability as experienced on a live job. Capability testing against a published rubric is on the roadmap and is not reflected here.

Two things are missing from every reading above, deliberately. Cost position (whether a tool is priced fairly against what comparable operators actually pay) and peer intelligence (how the operators running it rate it). Both are built from what operators contribute about their own businesses.

They are held back because they are not Verinode’s to give away, not because they are the secret. The composite above is recomputed over the published capabilities alone rather than derived from the member score, so nothing about the withheld figures can be worked back out of it.

Both are part of membership, where the question stops being whether a tool is good and becomes whether it is worth it for your business, against your own numbers.
